JavaScript Job: React Developer

XTS has a REMOTE and flexible React Developer position for someone who is looking to be an essential part of a highly successful team maintaining and updating widely used Hydrography applications to support the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

ABOUT THE POSITION: Working alongside a well-established and experienced team, you will contribute to the USGS’ National Hydrography Products aimed at maintaining and improving the many hydrography applications within the USGS toolset that is accessible to the public globally. XTS works in an Agile environment, utilizing DevOps best practices and CI/CD.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a GIS related field with 3+ years of related experience
• Heavy proficiency in front-end development (React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, PostgreSQL, SQL, etc.)
• Extensive desktop and web Application experience
• Experience with back-end development (node.js, C++, C#)
• Must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident for at least 3 years (This position requires the candidate to receive and maintain a favorable adjudicated Public Trust Investigation)

Desired:

• Knowledge and/or experience with GIS, ESRI, and/or GDAL tools
• Knowledge of the .net framework
• Knowledge / experience with Agile/SCRUM
• Knowledge / experience with DevOps best practices and CI/CD

Salary: $90-95,000k
